The Mahaska Health Foundation has partnered with the Iowa Food Bank Mobile Pantry Program to serve families, individuals, and seniors in our community in an effort to supplement other hunger-relief agencies in that area.
Mobile Food Pantries can be found in 13 communities in southeast Iowa, reaching an average of 80 families each month at these sites. Each distribution provides between 8,000 to 8,500 pounds of food to those attending a mobile pantry.
We are so grateful to the Mahaska Health Foundation providers, volunteers, and community members who have helped with this program to serve our community.
